This year SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS finally moves to its idyllic, permanent home at North Byron Parklands. Picture wide green meadows, flower covered dams, trees, trees and more trees. From July 26 – 28 this eden will be transformed into a nirvana for music and arts enthusiasts.
Over three monumental days, punters can random shuffle their feet between 80+ of the hottest acts on offer today. From global tastemakers, “ones to watch”, festival favourites as you’ve never seen them before, to seasoned internationals and truly iconic Australian acts.
SPLENDOUR 2013 will include all of the event’s popular festival features plus some super new additions, and is headlined by the amazing Mumford & Sons.

News: STONE Music Festival @ ANZ Stadium
Billy Joel and Van Halen have been confirmed to headline the inaugural STONE Music Festival to be held over two days at Sydney's ANZ Stadium on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April, 2013. Supporting these global superstars on the Festival bill will be a massive array of legendary international and Australian rock acts that amongst them have accumulated a plethora of album sales and awards, and plenty of smash hit singles for festival goers to celebrate.

Joanna Murray-Smith returns to Sydney Theatre Company with a powerful new play directed by STC Artistic Director Andrew Upton and featuring Robert Menzies, Sarah Peirse, Harry Greenwood and Geraldine Hakewill. Fury is a family drama, set in a seemingly perfect, liberal, middle class family who are rocked to the core by a series of revelations.
News: Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band 2013 Australia Tour
After years of rumour, The Boss and the E Street Band are set to return for their first Australian performance in a decade. Touring through March 2013 after having already visited 18 countries with over 80 shows, the Wrecking Ball tour will stop at Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and will culminate in a special performance at Hanging Rock in Central Victoria.

Sir Elton John is set to peform a second Sydney show at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on Friday, November 15th. In what is to be his only solo Australian performance, this is also the only performance when Pnau joins Elton on stage to do tracks from the recent Elton John VS Pnau album.

Sydney will play host to the biggest competitive international film festival ever staged in the country with the launch of the inaugural Cockatoo Island Film Festival. The very best films from 15 countires will compete for a series of prestigious awards to be presented at a red crpet gala awards ceremony on Saturday night, 28 October, including Best Feature, Jury Prize for Artisitic Vision, Best Documentary, Best Australian Short, the Young Film-Maker of the Year and a $20, 000 NSW Mining Young Indigenous Documentary Fellowship.

Hugo Weaving and Pamela Rabe play the deliciously wicked duo at the centre of a new Sydney Theatre Company production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses directed by Sam Strong. Exploring lust, love, manipulation, self interest and sexual politics, the production is at STC’s Wharf 1 with previews from Saturday 31 March. An exceptional cast also includes Justine Clarke, Geraldine Hakewill, Jane Harders, James Mackay, Heather Mitchell, TJ Power and Ashley Ricardo.

The international highlight of Sydney Theatre Company’s 2012 Main Stage season, Midsummer (a play with songs) is a joyous rom-com with a touch of the tartan by playwright David Greig and Gordon McIntyre of indie folk-rock group Ballboy. Lawyer Helena and petty criminal Bob are thrown together in dubious circumstances, sharing a drunken one-night-stand. So begins an extraordinary lost weekend of bridge burning, car chases, wedding bust-ups, Japanese rope-bondage gone wrong and self-loathing hangovers.

Circus Oz steamrolls into Sydney this coming January with their special brand of madness, fooling around in the unconventional and fantastical world of Steampunk. Steampowered is their latest show, under the Big Top at Tumbalong Park, from 4-29 January, 2012.
In true Circus Oz style, Steampowered presents the beautiful and the absurd, the downright kooky and the breathtakingly brilliant.
